Have you ever hit a point in your life where you think: Man, clubs are the worst?
Now, I’m not talking about empty niche bars, I’m talking proper mainstream clubs. The kind of expensive, packed, and glitzy clubs that stars fall out of. This ridiculousness, something that we are forced to enjoy, has even had a lot of flak in popular culture such as How I Met Your Mother and, my favourite, CollegeHumours dance clubs are the worst. Yep, it all seems that clubbing sucks. Or maybe we’re getting old…
But this is the exact reason why Between Two Worlds looks dreadful.
The film revolves around a young writer who is immersed into London’s nightlife. However, through his journey into alcohol and strobe lighting, he rediscovers his ex-girlfriend who is a lot more settled and he is now stuck…between two world…
Right, coming up around the corner is Kill Your Friends which probably better takes the celeb culture and boozy club lifestyle a lot darker. To be fair to this film, that’s probably what’s souring my likeness of this. Also, he’s a young writer who has supposedly made it because he is always partying. It’s an impossibility! Anyway, it looks like your generic story and I don’t think it’s going to make many waves. If you have a lazy afternoon, perhaps it is worth a shot.
