What’s not to love about the British Film Institute?

Don’t send me answers on a postcard, because I don’t want to know. Between the London Film Festival, it’s regular promotion of independent filmmakers, its events revolving around classic film, and genuinely celebrating the medium makes BFI just a glorious institute. It really does.

The company are introducing its Luminous fundraising gala for IWC Schaffhausen which will be raising funds for British film and British Film Talent. The funds are great and will go to the BFI’s Film Is Fragile campaign. Which, by the way, if you’ve ever watched a film should be important to you.

But you can join in on the auction too, as the foundation opens an auction on website: www.luminousauction.com. Up until the 6th of October, you can win bespoke and priceless experiences . This include a signed director’s chair by Martin Scorsese, The Theory of Everything collection, Swarovski Cinderella Slipper, a private film screening, and many, many more. Now I know what you are thinking; “how am I ever going to afford that?” And you might be right, but still, this is a worthwhile charity to invest in which will help promote UK films film industry. With an event hosted by Jonathon Ross in Guidhall, London, and a different live bid, this is for (affluent) film lovers and supporters.
