Fathers and Daughters - Brand New Trailer

Naff dramas come and go all the time. Most of them are delegated to the Lifetime movie channel where bad actors or actors who are no longer famous dwell. Every so often, probably thanks to Nicholas Sparks or an elder generation, they find their way onto the big screen. None of them seem to have any meat on them and neither does the new trailer for Fathers and Daughters.

Starring Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried, Fathers and Daughter srevolves around a Pulitzer-prize winning writer who struggles after his wife dies. Having a mental breakdown, he pushes his daughter to aside only years later, discovers that she is having similar issues making connections. Welp.

Ok so - the cast is great but there is something a bit off about that plot. It seems a bit lacking, for want of a better word, and doesn’t offer anything interesting. Also, when are we going to ditch the patriarch being super successful writer narrative? Can’t someone be a blue-collared worker.

Fathers and Daughters is out 13th of November.
